AJC.com: The Rolling Stones return to Atlanta for summer stadium concert
Five years after last slaying Atlanta with their canon of classic rock chestnuts, the Rolling Stones will return.
The iconic rockers will visit Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the last date on a 15-city continuation of their “No Filter” tour.
Tickets for the band’s July 9 performance will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Feb. 14 (visit www.rollingstones.com to purchase).
As always, fans can access various pre-sales.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium club and suite owners have immediate access to purchase premium seats from Feb. 6 through 5 p.m. Feb. 10. As well, Mercedes-Benz Stadium PSL owner (aka Falcons Season Ticket Members) will receive priority access to a pre-sale starting Feb. 12.
American Express Card Members may also purchase tickets before the general public from 10 a.m. Feb. 12 through 10 p.m. Feb. 13.
At last year’s June tour kickoff in Chicago – which was initially postponed after Mick Jagger, 76, underwent a heart procedure a few months prior – the Stones were in prime form.
Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts still form the core foursome, while Georgia’s Chuck Leavell remains the band’s keyboard wizard, Darryl Jones holds down the bass, Tim Ries and Karl Denson handle saxophone duty, Bernard Fowler and Sasha Allen chime in with backing vocals and Matt Clifford gives an assist on keyboards and French horn.
The band’s “No Filter” tour has played sporadically since 2017, when it kicked off in Germany. After the most recent round of dates wrapped in Miami last summer, the box office receipts tallied $415.6 million.
