VIDEOS The Rolling Stones Share Chicago 1997 Video For ‘Extra Licks’
The Rolling Stones shared video of five songs performed during their 1997 visit to Chicago as the latest installment of the band’s Extra Licks video series. The footage was filmed at Soldier Field in Chicago on September 23 and 25, 1997 — the first two concerts of The Rolling Stones’ 97-show Bridges To Babylon Tour.
Mick Jagger leads the band through “Rock & A Hard Place” from 1989’s Steel Wheels to start the video, which premiered via YouTube on Sunday. Next up is the 1966 hit “Under My Thumb” before guitarist Keith Richards steps into the spotlight to front the group on “All About You.”
The Bridges To Babylon Tour marked the debut of the B-Stage in which Jagger, Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts would assemble on a small, secondary stage to perform a few songs with bassist Darryl Jones and keyboardist Chuck Leavell. B-Stage versions of “Let It Bleed” and “Little Queenie” brought the latest Extra Licks video to a close. Watch the footage from Chicago 1997 below:
