Local filmmaker will present documentary on famed rock keyboardist Chuck Leavell this week at the Little Art Theatre
A film about one of the best rock musicians you have never known you’ve listened to is coming to Yellow Springs this week. Chuck Leavell: The Tree Man, directed by local filmmaker Allen Farst, is a documentary detailing the career of Leavell, keyboardist with the Allman Brothers Band, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, and many more, as well as his life as an accomplished tree farmer and conservationist. Farst spoke with Excursions host Evan Miller ahead of the film’s screening at the Little Art Theatre about the film, stories from the its creation, and his career.
